All-Hazards NOAA Weather Radio

Filed in General by on March 10, 2016

One of the best and most reliable sources of up-to-the-minute weather information is NOAA’s All-Hazard radio network. The system “is a nationwide network of radio stations broadcasting continuous weather information directly from the nearest National Weather Service office. NWR broadcasts official Weather Service warnings, watches, forecasts and other hazard information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week” (www.nws.noaa.gov/nwr/).

The National Weather Service website provides generalĀ information on the radio system, which channels are available locally, regionally and nationally, and information onĀ radios that are good for your home or office.
